Shanghai Greenland Shenhua’s Australian midfielder Tim Cahill has extended his contract with the club for at least one year, the Chinese Super League side announced yesterday.
The club also claimed precedence to keep its top scorer for another year after next season. The 35-year-old has scored 11 goals for Shenhua in the CSL this year. “I want to thank president Wu (Xiaohui) and (general manager) Mr Zhou, everyone at this club and my loyal fans,” Cahill wrote on his Weibo account. “Together we will work to bring success to our beautiful club.”
