EUROPEAN club football’s showcase finals of the Champions League and the Europa League are to be scheduled in the same week as of 2019.
The latest rejigging of the schedule is aimed at getting the Europa League final to be played after domestic championships have finished. “The main idea is to play the two finals the same week, and this idea has been approved,” UEFA said. “We wanted the Europa League final to be played after the domestic season.”
