China starts year with loss to Iran
CHINA lost its first international match in 2009, losing 1-3 to Iran in an international soccer friendly in Tehran, Iran, on Friday.
Iran raced to a two-goal advantage in the first half but Huang Bowen pulled one back for China. Zhang Yaokun then fouled in the box for Iran's third goal. The Chinese media has blasted the current national team as the weakest in history, but head coach Yin Tiesheng insisted that the squad includes some top players, and it was all about finding their forms back. It is China's third international loss in four matches.
