Egypt set to name Bradley as coach
THE Egyptian Football Association said it has reached a deal with former United States coach Bob Bradley to take over the national team, two weeks after Egypt failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations for the first time in three decades.
EFA spokesman Azmy Megahed said Bradley is expected to arrive in Cairo this weekend to finalize the deal. "All is good. Bradley will be here on Sunday to sign the contract," Megahed said. Bradley would replace longtime Egypt coach Hassan Shehata, who stepped down in June toward the end of a disappointing qualifying campaign for the African Cup. Egypt failed to qualify for the continental championship for the first time in 33 years.
