Football fracas

TWO people were shot dead and four others injured in a clash between football hooligans following a 3-0 victory by Buenos Aires club Huracan over Arsenal, a victory which gave Huracan the lead in the Argentina football standings. The violence apparently began in the stadium during the Sunday match and spread afterward to areas near the stadium. Angela Toscano, head of the Penna hospital in Buenos Aires, said on Monday the two dead men were aged about 30 and died of gunshot wounds. Two other victims remained in the hospital but were expected to survive. Reports suggested the violence sprang from rival Huracan fans.
