Former France coach Henri Michel, who led Les Bleus to the 1984 Olympic title has died at age 70, the French footballers鈥 union, or UNFP, announced yesterday. 鈥淗enri Michel, a colossus of French football, left us this morning,鈥 the UNFP wrote on Twitter, adding their 鈥渟incere condolences to his family and friends.鈥 Michel managed France between 1984 and 1988, taking over after a France team containing Michel Platini won the European Championships under Michel Hidalgo.
