Getafe returns to La Liga

GETAFE returned to La Liga at the first time of asking on Saturday when it defeated Tenerife 3-1 in the second leg of their promotion playoff. The Madrid club, which was relegated from the top flight a year ago, recovered from losing the first leg 0-1 last Wednesday. It will join Levante and Girona in La Liga next season after those clubs earned automatic promotion. Midfielders Alejandro Faurlin and Daniel Pacheco (two) scored for Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez while striker Anthony Lozano got the only one for Tenerife.
