Gunners hit 3 past Spurs

A QUICKFIRE first half double set Arsenal on its way to a comfortable 3-0 Premier League victory over north London rival Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.

A close first half was transformed minutes before the break when Robin van Persie met Bacary Sagna's low cross for Arsenal's first before Cesc Fabregas scored a brilliant second just moments later.

Sagna and Van Persie combined once more after the break for Arsenal's third and the Dutchman's seventh of the season, while substitute Eduardo da Silva spurned an easy chance for a fourth.

Meanwhile, Manchester United has drawn Tottenham in the League Cup quarter-finals in a repeat of last season's final, and Manchester City has been paired with Arsenal.

Also, Chelsea must go to Blackburn, and Portsmouth welcomes Aston Villa.
