Guo'an coach fired
BEIJING Guo'an fired its Korean coach Lee Jang-soo in the hope it could revive its chances of winning its first Chinese Super League title. The sacking follows Beijing's 0-2 loss to Changchun Yatai on Tuesday, its first home defeat in 2009, with seven matches remaining this season.
Beijing had led the league but with several draws and disappointing defeats after the summer break it fell to third with 36 points, two points behind the leader Henan Jianye. Veteran coach Hong Yuanshuo was named temporary manager.
