Haan suspended for flashing out cash
CHONGQING Lifan's Dutch coach Arie Haan has been banned from the sidelines for three Chinese Super League matches after offering the fourth official a wad of cash.
"Do you want money?" local media reports quoted Haan as asking the official after league leader Beijing Guo'an was awarded a penalty in Sunday's 3-2 win for bottom club Chongqing. Pictures in Chinese media showed Haan gesturing towards the official with handful of 100 yuan notes. The former China coach was also fined 15,000 yuan (US$2,196) by the Chinese Football Association for "insulting the fourth official in an immoral way."
