Hero Falcao staying put for now

Colombia striker Radamel Falcao re-affirmed his desire to stay at Porto next season after scoring his 38th goal of the season to seal a 1-0 victory over Braga in Wednesday's Europa League final.

The 25-year-old had broken Juergen Klinsmann's record 15-goal haul in the competition during the semifinals when he scored five against Villarreal and by heading in the winner he took his tally to 17.

The striker has said he is happy at the Portuguese side, whom he joined in 2009 from Argentina's River Plate.

"I am just thinking about enjoying this right now and Porto wants me a lot. The truth is I want to be at Porto and enjoy it," he told reporters.

Porto is reportedly keen for him to sign a new contract.

"Both sides seem to be available and we will see about that during the next year," the striker said. "Of course, one day I might play in other leagues, of course there are expectations, but now I want to enjoy this and take Porto to the Champions League next year," he added.

Combining great movement and great aerial ability, Falcao has spearheaded Porto's remarkable campaign in which he has shared over 70 goals with his strike partner Hulk and attracted attention from the continent's major clubs.
