Icy weather hits Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool
BRITAIN'S icy weather has forced the postponement of five Premier League matches this weekend.
Today's game between Hull City and leaders Chelsea and tomorrow's Liverpool-Tottenham Hotspur clash were postponed yesterday after three earlier games fell victim to the freezing weather.
Fulham's home match with bottom club Portsmouth was an early casualty along with Burnley's game against Stoke City and Sunderland's clash with Bolton Wanderers, who appointed Owen Coyle their new manager yesterday.
Bolton's match at Arsenal on Wednesday was also postponed because of the icy temperatures that have gripped Britain this week.
The Fulham postponement means 24-year-old Michael Oliver will have to wait to make his debut as the youngest referee in the Premier League.
Oliver already holds the records for being the youngest linesman and referee in the Football League, the youngest referee at Wembley and the youngest fourth official in the Premier League.
Sub-zero temperatures across the country have come after days of heavy snow, with even colder weather forecast next week.
