Shanghai sent out invitations at the weekend to young players all over the world to participate in the 2020 China (Shanghai) International Youth Football Invitational during next year’s summer vacation. The tournament was initiated in 2015 to promote development of youth football and international friendship. This year, 16 U17 school teams from seven countries competed in the event between July 8 and 14. In between matches, organizers held activities for participating teams to visit local tourist spots and discuss the development of campus football.
