It鈥檚 advantage Hiroshima, Seoul

SANFRECCE Hiroshima beat Western Sydney Wanderers 3-1 in the knockout stage of the Asian Champions League yesterday, and FC Seoul rallied to edge Kawasaki Frontale 3-2.

Naoki Ishihara scored two second-half goals as the J-League champion took a two-goal cushion heading into the return match in Sydney next week, with a spot in the quarterfinals at stake.

Wanderers cut the deficit to 2-1 on a penalty kick by Tomi Juric in the 78th minute but Kosei Shibasaki’s free kick in the first minute of stoppage time sealed the win.

In Kawasaki, Yun Il-lok scored in the third minute of stoppage time to give the 2013 finalist a win over the Japanese side. The return leg is at Seoul’s World Cup Stadium on May 14.

The visitors showed little flair in the first half and looked headed for defeat when they trailed 1-2 with seven minutes left. But a Kim Chi-woo thunderbolt tied the game at 2-2 before Yun’s winner.
