James moves to second tier Bristol
ENGLAND'S World Cup goalkeeper David James has signed a one-year deal to play for Championship (second division) Bristol City.
The 39-year-old's contract will run from August 1 with the option of a further year, City said. James left Portsmouth following the club's relegation from the Premier League last season. Also, Germany midfielder Sami Khedira, who played a major part in Germany's progress to the World Cup semifinals, is to join Real Madrid from VfB Stuttgart.
