Juve gives coach del Neri the boot

JUVENTUS coach Luigi del Neri has been sacked and will leave after today's final Italian Serie A game of the season against Napoli, he said yesterday.
"The club told me of their decision during the week," del Neri told reporters in Turin. Once mighty Juventus has suffered a second straight season of woe and is currently seventh in Serie A with only an outside chance of a Europa League spot. Former Juventus midfielder Antonio Conte, who led Siena to promotion to Serie A this term, is the bookmakers' favorite to take over.
