Juventus closes in on 29th Italian title
JUVENTUS used two late goals to beat Torino 2-0 in the Derby della Mole yesterday as the defending Serie A champion inched closer to its 29th Italian title.
Arturo Vidal scored three minutes from time to give Juventus the victory, shortly after Torino had been denied what looked like a clear penalty. Torino defender Kamil Glik was then sent off in the final minute before Claudio Marchisio sealed the result.
Antonio Conte's team is 11 points ahead of second-place Napoli and can secure the title against Palermo next weekend.
Juan Cuadrado, Adem Ljajic and Alberto Aquilani shared the goals for Fiorentina which will finish the weekend in third, the Champions League playoff spot, if AC Milan fails to beat Catania at home later yesterday It is two points ahead of Milan.
