Keeper takes wrong turn

Brechin goalkeeper Graeme Smith dropped the biggest clanger of his career after arriving for his Scottish club鈥檚 game against Stenhousemuir on Saturday to discover he had gone to the wrong ground.

Smith had turned up at Stenhousemuir鈥檚 Ochilview stadium for the League One clash when the fixture was actually taking place 83 miles away at his team鈥檚 Glebe Park ground. Smith鈥檚 mistake was broadcast to the world on Twitter by Stenhousemuir鈥檚 Head of Community Football William Hoggan. 鈥淏rechin City keeper Graeme Smith rocks up to @OchilviewPark @StenhousemuirFC today but their the home team. Ha ha classic,鈥 he tweeted. Smith faced a journey of more than 90 minutes to make it for kickoff, but he managed to race to Angus in time to take his place in the starting line-up.
