Lazio beats Napoli to go top; Barca surges clear
LAZIO recovered from two straight defeats with a 2-0 home win over Napoli yesterday which sent it back to the top of Serie A for at least a few hours.
Edy Reja's side, Italy's surprise package this season having flirted with relegation last term, had lost last weekend's city derby with AS Roma and the midweek game at promoted Cesena but was quickly back to its best.
Mauro Zarate grabbed the opener on 15 minutes from Stefano Mauri's pass and fellow striker Sergio Floccari doubled the lead in the second half from a Zarate assist. Lazio now has 25 points.
Third-placed Napoli (21), which hit the bar through Ezequiel Lavezzi, had seen the game as a key test for its title credentials but failed to impose itself.
