Liverpool plays Hearts next in Europa League

LIVERPOOL can look forward to a Battle of Britain showdown against Scottish club Hearts in the playoff round of the Europa League after the draw yesterday.
The Premier League club beat Gomel of Belarus 3-0 at Anfield on Thursday to secure a 4-0 aggregate success that set up the clash with the Scottish Cup holder.
Newcastle face last season's Greek Cup runner-up Atromitos, with the first legs to be played on August 23 and the return on August 30.
The other British side in action on Thursday, Scotland's Dundee United, was thrashed 0-5 at Dynamo Moscow losing by a hefty 7-2 on aggregate.
Italian giant Inter Milan was given a fright when it lost 0-2 at home to Hajduk Split of Croatia. But having won the first leg away 3-0, it scraped through 3-2 on aggregate.
