Mandzukic dropped for Cup final

BAYERN Munich coach Pep Guardiola has dropped Mario Mandzukic for the German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund, and Bastian Schweinsteiger is also out of today’s game.
Guardiola says “Basti is injured, a problem with his knee. Mandzukic is my decision.”
Schweinsteiger, who is aiming for a record seventh German Cup win, strained a tendon in his left knee in last Saturday’s 1-0 German Bundesliga win over VfB Stuttgart.
Guardiola says he hopes he’ll recover in time for Germany at the World Cup.
Mandzukic isn’t injured. Guardiola says it was a coaching decision to leave the Croat out.
Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp says Robert Lewandowski is likely to play after shaking off a calf problem. The Polish striker, who will join Bayern for next season — and likely replace Mandzukic — broke off Thursday’s training session as a precaution.
