Maradona is Brest boss
Diego Maradona is leaving the dugout for the director’s box. The former Argentina great announced on Tuesday that he will become chairman of Belarusian club Dinamo Brest. The 57-year-old Maradona posted a photo of his new contract on his Instagram, with the note: “Thanks for the confidence and for thinking of me.” The 1986 World Cup champion recently finished a tenure as coach of the United Arab Emirates’ second-division club al-Fujairah. His contract was not extended after he failed to reach the country’s top league. Dinamo Brest said on its Twitter account yesterday that Maradona signed a three-year deal, and will take up the role after the World Cup in Russia ends.
