Milito out as Argentina add home-based players to squad

DIEGO Maradona completed his squad with nine home-based players yesterday for Argentina's final World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay.

Inter Milan striker Diego Milito has had to pull out with a muscle strain, the Argentine Football Association said on its website (www.afa.org.ar).

Argentina are in fifth place in the South American group needing wins at home to Peru next Saturday and away to Uruguay on Oct. 14 to ensure they remain on course for next year's finals in South Africa.

The top four in South America qualify automatically, while the fifth-placed nation plays off against the fourth-placed CONCACAF team.

Squad:
