Napoli returns to winning ways

NAPOLI got back to winning ways in Serie A with a comfortable 2-0 win against Chievo Verona while struggling Siena stunned Roma with a 1-0 victory.

Miguel Britos headed Napoli in front in the 15th minute and top scorer Edinson Cavani doubled its lead with a penalty eight minutes from halftime to give the team only its second league win in 2012.

With the first leg of a Champions League knockout tie against Chelsea coming up next Tuesday, it was a timely boost for Napoli. Siena moved away from the relegation zone after Emanuele Calaio's second-half penalty against Roma.

In Spain, Real Sociedad needed two second-half goals to secure a 2-0 victory over Sevilla, spoiling new coach Jose Miguel "Michel" Gonzalez's debut for the Andalucian club.
