New Jiangsu coach
CHINESE Super League side Jiangsu Suning named former FC Seoul manager Choi Yong-soo as its new head coach yesterday. The club made a statement through its official website, saying the South Korean will start duty from July 1, and will be assisted by a Chinese coaching team led by Gong Lei. Suning’s former Romanian head coach Dan Petrescu, who led the team to the 2015 CFA Cup title, resigned due to personal reasons earlier this month. Choi became the coach of FC Seoul in 2011 and helped the team win the K-League next year. Jiangsu is currently third in the CSL standings with 29 points.
