Park agrees on contract extension with Man United
MIDFIELDER Park Ji-sung has agreed on a contract extension with Manchester United that will keep him at the Premier League club until 2012, the player's South Korean-based agent said today.
Manchester United will officially announce the three-year deal later this week or early next week, Kim Jung-soo, an official at JSLimited in Suwon, south of Seoul, said.
Kim refused to disclose details of the contract but South Korean media including Yonhap news agency said Park would receive about 3.6 million pounds (US$6 million) per season, a 30 percent increase from his current annual salary.
The 28-year-old South Korean international joined Manchester United in July 2005 from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
