Powell leaves Wasps after pub brawl
Wasps forward Andy Powell has left the English Premiership club by "mutual consent", Wasps said on Wednesday following the Welsh international's involvement in a pub brawl.
Last month the London club suspended Powell and England prop Tim Payne pending an investigation but Payne's ban was lifted after two days. Wasps gave no details of the incident but Powell spoke to reporters and described how some pub banter with fans of Queens Park Rangers football club got out of hand and ended with him taking a beating and needing stitches in a head wound.
