Prince William supports FIFA vote delay
BRITAIN'S Prince William yesterday voiced concerns about corruption within FIFA and called for Sepp Blatter's re-election to be delayed.
The prince, who is also president of England's Football Association (FA), urged the world soccer body to demonstrate "transparency" in the wake of a bribery scandal that saw Blatter's only challenger Mohamed bin Hammam withdraw from the race.
A St. James's Palace statement Tuesday said the prince "considers the transparency of the international governing body to be integral to the good governance of the game."
