QPR promoted to Premier League
QUEENS Park Rangers' promotion to the Premier League will go ahead after England's Football Association decided not to dock the London club any points over breaches of player-ownership regulations.
QPR has already won the second-tier League Championship, but had to wait for the outcome of an FA regulatory commission to be certain that it would return to the topflight for the first time since 1996. The FA has been investigating QPR for flouting a ban on third-party ownership of players by signing Argentine midfielder Alejandro Faurlin in 2009. The FA says that "although two of the charges have been found to be proved there will be no points deduction made from Queens Park Rangers in this season or the next."
