MANCHESTER City defender Micah Richards has been released on bail following his arrest in connection with an alleged assault outside a nightclub on Christmas Eve.
The 20-year-old England player was arrested and questioned by police on Wednesday about the incident, which took place in the early morning of December 24. He was released on bail until April 8 pending further investigation. Richards is the second City player facing a criminal investigation. Star Brazilian forward Robinho was arrested and released on bail last week following allegations of a sexual assault on a teenage student in Leeds.
