Rivaldo greets Shanghai fans

FORMER Barcelona star player Rivaldo showed up in Shanghai for a promotional event over the weekend. It was the Brazilian’s third visit to China this year, who was sent by the La Liga powerhouse as an ambassador.
Rivaldo’s compatriot Paulinho was just transferred to Barcelona from Chinese Super League leader Guangzhou Evergrande on a 40 million euro deal.
“I know there are lots of Brazilian players in the Chinese Super League, who can help in the growth of China’s football,” said the former Golden Ball winner. “The players are not necessarily aiming at a high salary, as CSL can also be a good platform for them to present themselves.”
Rivalso played for Barcelona from 1997 to 2002, scoring 86 goals in 157 appearances.
