Shenhua loses

INJURY-HIT Shanghai Shenhua lost 0-1 away to Henan Jianye in the Chinese Super League last night. Jianye's Zambian striker Christopher Katongo scored the only goal with a close-range shot in the 57th minute. Shenhua was missing four of its foreign players: Joel Griffiths, Moises, Matthieu Manset and Mario Bozic. Elsewhere yesterday, it was: Dalian Aerbin 0, Jiangsu Sainty 0; Guizhou Renhe 3, Guangzhou R&F 0; and Shandong Luneng 2, Dalian Shide 2-2. On Friday, Shenhua's derby rival Shanghai Shenxin also slumped, losing 0-1 at home to Hangzhou Greentown. The rest of the games, including Marcello Lippi's first game in China with Guangzhou Evergrande, are scheduled for today.
