Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua will be renamed as Shanghai Greenland Shenhua after it was taken over by local property developer Shanghai Greenland Group, Sina Sports reported yesterday. The club will take part in the 2014 CSL season under the name of “Shanghai Greenland Shenhua by Shanghai Greenland Football Club Co Ltd,” the group said yesterday. Wu Xiaohui, deputy executive president of Shanghai Greenland Group, will be appointed chairman of the board of Shanghai Greenland Football Club, while Shen Xiangfu will continue to be the coach.
