Shenhua's Griffiths returns to Sydney

AUSTRALIAN striker Joel Griffiths is returning home from Shanghai Shenhua to link up with Italian superstar Alessandro Del Piero at Sydney FC, the club said yesterday.
Griffiths will officially start his two-year contract when his current deal with the Chinese club expires on December 31.
"Sydney is my home, Sydney FC is a great club and has tremendous training facilities and I'm looking forward to playing in the A-League again," said Griffiths, who will join his twin brother Adam at the Sky Blues.
Griffiths, 33, has spent the last four years with Beijing Guo'an and Shanghai Shenhua, where he scored 34 goals from 94 appearances in the Chinese Super League.
