Shenhua’s souvenir store opens
SHANGHAI Greenland Shenhua opened its official souvenir store at its home ground of Hongkou Football Stadium yesterday, while the other shop at Oriental Pearl TV Tower, opposite the Bund in Pudong New Area, will also be accessible to fans soon.
Shenhua players, including Obafemi Martins of Nigeria, Korean Kim Kee-hee and Cao Yunding, attended the opening ceremony where they signed autographs on official souvenirs purchased by fans. The store also put on display some old souvenirs the Chinese Super League club had issued in the past 20 years.
“Our aim to build the store into a gathering place and cultural center for our fans,” said shop manager Shen Ye, who is a veteran Shenhua supporter herself. “Shenhua followers should feel at home here.”
Store members will get discounts on purchases, while collected membership points will allow them to take part in activities organized by the club or exchange them for not-for-sale gifts.
