TOTTENHAM Hotspur has given permission for striker Emmanuel Adebayor to return to his native Togo for personal reasons. Spurs did not say how long Adebayor will be absent. A club statement said: “We can confirm that Emmanuel Adebayor has been given permission to return home for personal reasons”. Adebayor has not played for Mauricio Pochettino’s side since November 9, a 1-2 defeat to Stoke City. He has scored twice in 12 appearances this season.
