Summer tournament finals

THE finals of the 2018 Xinmin Evening News Summer Football Tournament kicked off at Minhang District’s T98 Football Camp yesterday, featuring 128 local junior middle school and high school student teams. They advanced to the finals after preliminary rounds involving more than 1,000 teams. The group stage and knockout rounds of the finals will be held at T98 on August 1-5. The championship and third-place matches will be held at Yuanshen Stadium on August 7. Shanghai SIPG striker and China international Wu Lei will attend the final-day matches as tournament ambassador. The popular Xinmin Evening News Summer Tournament was first held in 1986.
