COTE d'Ivoire midfielder Yaya Toure has extended his contract with Barcelona by one more year, said the Spanish Primera Liga and European champions yesterday.
The new deal will keep the 26-year-old tied to the club until June 30, 2012, while his "release clause" is now set at 100 million euros.
Toure's contract was set to expire on June 30, 2011 and his original buyout clause was 60 million euros, according to Barcelona's website.
