Trezeguet pays for Ranieri outburst

DAVID Trezeguet was dropped from the Juventus roster for today's match with Bologna after criticizing coach Claudio Ranieri for substituting him in the Champions League game against Chelsea.

Trezeguet lashed out at Ranieri in an interview with L'Equipe. "His declarations really bothered me," Ranieri said. "We try and always keep all that inside the locker room, independent of mistakes that can be made by a coach. I feel betrayed as a man." Ranieri replaced Trezeguet with Amauri in the 80th minute of Tuesday's 2-2 draw, which resulted in Juventus being eliminated from the Champions League.
