Tributes To Enke
FANS have been paying respect to former Hannover and Germany goalkeeper Robert Enke on the first anniversary of his death.
Enke suffered from depression and ended his life by stepping in front of a train on November 10, 2009.
Football federation officials and Germany coach Joachim Loew laid wreaths at Enke's tomb outside Hannover yesterday in a private ceremony attended by his widow Teresa.
Fans filed through a tent outside Hannover's stadium to look at an exhibit of Enke memorabilia and write their thoughts into a "book of remembrance."
