United coming to China
ENGLAND and European champions Manchester United will close its four-match tour of Asia in July with a match against the Chinese Super League outfit Hangzhou Lvcheng.
United's friendly match against the team from Zhejiang Province will take place on July 26 and will be the last of United's pre-season tour which also takes in Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea.
"We are delighted to be coming back to Asia for our summer tour," chief executive David Gill told the club's Website.
"The passion and excitement of the games has to be experienced to be believed, and the tour is great preparation for the new season."
United takes on its English rival Arsenal in the Champions League semifinal today and also leads the standings for the English Premier League crown.
Meanwhile, Everton defender Phil Jagielka will undergo a surgery today to repair a ruptured knee ligament which has ruled him out of the FA Cup final.
The 26-year-old centerback, who has been one of English football's most consistent players this season, was carried off the field in Saturday's 1-2 loss at home to Manchester City after falling awkwardly on the Goodison Park turf and it was diagnosed he had damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.
"He will undergo surgery on Wednesday morning, and is obviously very upset," Everton physio Mick Rathbone said late on Monday.
