United to meet Dortmund, City in ICC China Games
MANCHESTER United and Borussia Dortmund will kick off the International Champions Cup China Games on July 22 in Shanghai, organizers announced yesterday.
The China Games also involves a mouthwatering Manchester derby between United and Manchester City at Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Stadium on July 25. The tournament will then visit Shenzhen in southern Guangdong Province, where Bundesliga side Dortmund and City will play the third game on July 28. The Shanghai match will be part of United’s China tour ahead of the 2016-17 English Premier League season. The team will spend eight days in China and will play two matches. The date and opponent of the other match is yet to be announced. Last year’s ICC China Games featured another pair of city rivals AC Milan and Inter Milan of Serie A, along with La Liga’s Real Madrid.
