United to take on Shenhua in July
MANCHESTER United will play a friendly against Shanghai Shenhua as part of a pre-season tour of China in July, the Premier League club has announced.
Veteran Ryan Giggs and former United player Bryan Robson were in the city to promote the games. United will compete for the Chevrolet China Cup against Shenhua at Shanghai Stadium on July 25 before heading south for a game against Guangzhou Evergrande, which is managed by Italian Marcello Lippi. Shenhua has roped in a new manager in Argentine Sergio Batista. United last played in Shanghai in 1999.
