Chinese swimming stars return in triumph

Chinese swimming team returned from Kazan World Championships in truimph on Tuesday morning.

China trailed the United States and Australia to rank third with five gold, one silver and seven bronze medals in Kazan World Championships.

Chinese swimming official Shang Xiutang spoke highly of the performance of Chinese swimming team in Kazan World Championships, especially the victory of Ning Zetao in 100-meter freestyle. Shang Xiutang said that the short distance freestyle is just like the sprint event in track and field.

Besides, Shang Xiutang emphasized that the preparation for Kasan as well as the contest itself will be of important significance to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
