Chinese teen wins 2nd swim gold
TEENAGER Xu Danlu on Sunday won her second gold in record time at the Asian Swimming Championships in Dubai, fueling another day of Chinese dominance at the competition.
The 13-year-old set a personal best of 8:22.24 for victory in the 800-meter freestyle, taking almost 16 seconds off Zhang Yan's competition record that stood for 12 years. Xu, the national 800 champion, won her first ever Asian gold on Saturday in the 400 free. China won eight of nine events on the final day.
