Ishchenko completes hat-trick
NATALIA Ishchenko of Russia won her third gold medal in synchronized swimming at the world championships, finishing first in the free solo routine yesterday at the Oriental Sports Complex in Shanghai.
Ishchenko finished with 98.550 points. Andrea Fuentes of Spain took the silver with 96.520 and China's Sun Wenyan earned the bronze with 95.840 points.
Russia won the team technical competition on Tuesday. On Monday, Ishchenko teamed with Svetlana Romashina to win the duet technical final a night after taking the technical solo gold.
