FORMER French Olympic gold medalist Laure Manaudou will not compete in this year's swimming World Championship and will pull out of the entire 2009 season, the president of her Marseille club says. "She needs a little break, and she has the full right to it," Paul Leccia said.
He said she needs time to "digest" her disappointing performance at last year's Olympics. "Her entourage, all those who love her, decided that it was the best solution for her. And she most of all thought that she should do this to completely regenerate, to get herself in good form later."
