Tokyo and Toronto will begin competing next season as new franchises in the International Swimming League, the professional league said in Las Vegas on Saturday. Four-time Olympic champion Kosuke Kitajima will establish the new club in Tokyo and Robert Kent will lead the Toronto franchise. They will join European clubs Aqua Centurions, Energy Standard, Iron and London Roar and US teams Cali Condors, DC Trident, LA Current and NY Breakers in the 10-team league. The 2020-21 ISL season is scheduled to run from September to April.
