Djokovic finishes on top for second straight year
SERB Novak Djokovic finishes as world No. 1 for the second straight year, as he sits top of the final 2012 rankings released by the ATP yesterday.
Djokovic has 12,920 points with Swiss Roger Federer second on 10,265, Andy Murray in third place and Rafael Nadal in fourth despite being on the injury sidelines since July.
Czech veteran Radek Stepanek, 34, who stunned Spaniard Nicolas Almagro to secure a first Davis Cup victory for the Czech Republic at the weekend, moves up six places to 31st as a result.
Djokovic and former three-time French Open champion Gustavo Kuerten both scored in a charity football game played before a Brazilian league match in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.
