Defending champion Steve Johnson beat Taylor Fritz 7-5, 6-7 (4), 6-2 at the US Men鈥檚 Clay Court Championship in Houston on Saturday to set up a final showdown against Tennys Sandgren, who earlier beat Croatian veteran Ivo Karlovic 7-6 (2), 7-6 (4). Sixth seed Johnson, riding high after ousting top seed John Isner in the semifinals, will now seek a third career ATP title when he faces Sandgren in the first career meeting between the Americans today.
